Low Back Pain (LBP) is the most common musculoskeletal condition WORLDWIDE!
Research has shown that rest and medication actually makes LBP worse!
Imaging is NOT indicated for most people with acute low back pain.
Here are four recommendations to manage and prevent LBP:
1. Seek early non-pharmalogical treatment
2. Participate in regular physical activity
3. Avoid rest and medication
4. Learn about non-surgical and non-pharmalogical interventions for LBP
The common theme is EXERCISE!
Find a physical therapist who can instruct you on proper stretches and exercises to treat your personal needs.
