The things that challenge you or are not in alignment are simply invitations back to who you really are. Learning to honor your boundaries and listen to your heart can cultivate the self-agency and determination to create the world you want to live in. By saying no, you are saying yes to something else and vice versa. How can you show up with more agency in a life that often feels so uncertain? On the earth of it, life is not so much of what you go through but how you go through it. Here are some gems on ways to nourish the mind that support you in your self-agency and care. I call this a mental meal plan.

Just like the body takes in nutrients and resources to be digested, so does the mind. We put a lot of emphasis on clean eating in our culture and just as important as clean eating is clean thinking. Our mind is constantly taking in feedback from our environment, experiences, and interactions. This information shapes and informs the bodily systems within us, our mitochondria, and health coherence.

Here are 10 things you can start today to put yourself on a nourishing mental meal plan

  1. Slow mornings & slow evenings
  2. Personal hygiene time
  3. Listen to guided meditations
  4. Journaling, creating & expressing
  5. Breathing practices
  6. Eating greens
  7. Walking
  8. Savoring tea
  9. Family time and relationship hygiene.
  10. Spiritual Reading
